Isn’t it wonderful to discover a hidden gem you’ve never seen before at a place you’ve visited so many times before?
The Queensferry Mosaic Mural.
A stunning, organic, cleverly detailed mosaic made from broken tiles, mirror glass, pebbles, bottle tops, seashells and other treasures from the shore intricately pieced together to celebrate South Queensferry.
What makes this mosaic really special, is that it’s been created by South Queensferry’s very own community through workshops organised and run in and around the area by Common Ground Arts’ Gary Smith and Mike Spring.
The Hawthorn Bank Walled Garden, where the mosaic calls home, was once a piece of derelict unloved land. Now it’s been transformed into a wonderful outdoor space for all. I highly recommend a visit.
